This trail is a variant of the path to Montségur castle and the Cathar Trail, via Morenci.

The ridge that extends the Massif de Tabe eastwards, separating Lavelanet from Fougax and Barrineuf, is known as the "megalithic chain". A Neolithic place of worship, you'll see a pile of very white, cracked boulders on a pedestal of dark rock.
